As a matter of fact, the inspiration for this article has originated in a few of our past projects… Having performed an awful lot of work for fabricating and erecting structural steel constructions for the bridges in the past, we became intrigued by how many bridges back to an ancient history, on a small scale, steel was produced since early antiquity.

But while some archaeologists discovered proofs of steel making dating from 2000 BC, it was the industrial revolution of the 17th century when the first modern techniques for producing this particular metal structure became widely available and applied throughout both the Old and New World, including America.
